About the role
- Receive, review, and accurately open new client claims
- Enter claims and financial data in client databases
- Ensure policy declarations are accurate and obtain setup documents from clients
- Troubleshoot data conflicts directly with clients and examiners
- Ensure claims are opened timely and in conformity with data standards
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, financial recording of cheques, and general office services as needed
Requirements
- Grade twelve diploma; post-secondary diploma in Office Administration preferred
- Familiarity or previous insurance claims experience is an asset
- 2-3 years’ experience in an administrative support role required
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage changing priorities and proven organizational skills
- High level of confidentiality
- Proven ability to work well within a team environment and independently
- Intermediate experience with Word and Excel required
- Customer service focus, detail oriented
- Bilingualism is considered an asset
- Positive team dynamics
- Background check required for employees
