Implementation of and compliance with policies, practices, and processes of the infection prevention program at the facility, region, division and system level.
Collaborate with IP leadership, IP medical director, and IP peers and follow local, state and federal guidelines, standards, and regulations.
Provide infection prevention consultative services focused on providing the highest quality care at the lowest cost to patient and organization.
Receive on-the-job training in infection prevention/epidemiology.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field.
Certified in Infection Control (CIC) within 2 years of hire.
Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field. (Preferred)
Associate – Infection Prevention and Control (a-IPC) upon hire. (Preferred)
2 years of Healthcare and/or Epidemiology or Infection Prevention related experience. (Preferred)
Sufficient healthcare background
Basic infection prevention/epidemiology knowledge (the majority of training will occur on the job).
