About the role

  • Principal Service Engineer for IS Asset and Supply Chain Management collaborating with 3rd Party Logistics, End User Support, ServiceNow and Oracle teams
  • Deliver exceptional IS equipment services to Providence caregivers and transform IT service delivery at scale
  • Streamline hardware fulfillment processes including IT asset disposition (ITAD), project-based orders, imaging, and ServiceNow data integrity
  • Partner with developers, testers, and program managers to design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, computer-based services
  • Use data, metrics, automation, resilience modeling and root cause analysis to drive service architecture and incident prioritization
  • Represent the Service in backlog discussions and standups to prioritize Live Site requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree - Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience
  • 8 or more years of related experience
  • Strong experience influencing engineering team members in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations
  • Strong experience leading and representing the Service in backlog discussions and standups to establish appropriate prioritization of Live Site requirements
  • Strong experience leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions
  • Strong experience using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Strong experience in advanced problem solving using systematic procedures and investigating problems utilizing root cause analysis
  • Strong experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes
  • Strong experience with n-tier solutions
  • Strong experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually)
  • Preferred: Master's Degree - Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Preferred: Experience in a Healthcare environment
  • Preferred: 8 or more years of IS Engineering experience
  • Preferred: PMP Certification
  • Preferred: Agile development experience
