About the role
- Principal Service Engineer for IS Asset and Supply Chain Management collaborating with 3rd Party Logistics, End User Support, ServiceNow and Oracle teams
- Deliver exceptional IS equipment services to Providence caregivers and transform IT service delivery at scale
- Streamline hardware fulfillment processes including IT asset disposition (ITAD), project-based orders, imaging, and ServiceNow data integrity
- Partner with developers, testers, and program managers to design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, computer-based services
- Use data, metrics, automation, resilience modeling and root cause analysis to drive service architecture and incident prioritization
- Represent the Service in backlog discussions and standups to prioritize Live Site requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree - Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience
- 8 or more years of related experience
- Strong experience influencing engineering team members in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations
- Strong experience leading and representing the Service in backlog discussions and standups to establish appropriate prioritization of Live Site requirements
- Strong experience leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions
- Strong experience using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Strong experience in advanced problem solving using systematic procedures and investigating problems utilizing root cause analysis
- Strong experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes
- Strong experience with n-tier solutions
- Strong experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually)
- Preferred: Master's Degree - Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience
- Preferred: Experience in a Healthcare environment
- Preferred: 8 or more years of IS Engineering experience
- Preferred: PMP Certification
- Preferred: Agile development experience
