About the role
- Be part of the Global Strategy Analytics (GSA) team, focusing on development and implementation of applications to support site selection and business decision-making.
- Develop UI/UX interfaces, create customized widgets and application capabilities, and collaborate with various internal teams.
- Custom development of Esri Experience Builder Dev Edition applications, widgets, and web tools.
- Develop automated scripts for data processing, ELT workflows, and geoprocessing tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
- Research, evaluate, and onboard new GIS technologies, APIs, frameworks, and development best practices.
- Contribute to design standards, coding guidelines, and reusable component libraries.
- Design, develop, and maintain GIS web applications predominantly using Esri but also Tableau, Sigma, and other GIS technologies.
- Develop tools for spatial analysis and visualization that support data-driven decision making and scale analyses to company-wide products.
- Translate user revenue-generating needs into functional application components and workflows and advocate for business outcomes and multimillion-dollar decisions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in GIS development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, and Arcade.
- Demonstratable experience with Esri Experience Builder Developer Edition, Git, Esri ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript (v4.x), and familiarity with Calcite components.
- GIS platform proficiency (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, Tableau, Sigma).
- Ability to provide support to multiple projects through each sprint.
- History of creative solutions to business problems of high complexity.
- Strong critical thinking skills, intellectual curiosity, and desire to problem solve.
- Ability to cause and embrace change and adapt to evolving business needs.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Commitment to a business-first culture and the democratization of geospatial data.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field (or applicable work experience).
