About the role
- Manage own customer base handling weekly orders and collections
- Visit Indian grocery stores, restaurants, and retail partners regularly to grow sales and introduce new products
- Collect and grow weekly sales orders from assigned accounts
- Check client needs, manage stock, and upsell/cross-sell
- Introduce new products, promotions, and samples to drive sales
- Support collections and follow up on timely customer payments
- Build strong relationships with grocery and restaurant clients
- Open new accounts and grow business within existing ones
- Handle customer issues quickly and keep track of resolutions
- Review sales data to grow order size and wallet share
- Review shelves and stock; ensure products are present, well-placed, and promoted
- Work with customers to design or improve planograms/product sets
- Share competitor and market insights with management
- Take part in food shows, demos, and field marketing events
- Generate new leads through outreach and cold calls
- Keep accurate reports on customer needs and product demand
- Help customers adopt ordering technology and online platforms
Requirements
- 2–5 years sales experience in Indian/South Asian grocery or restaurant distribution (B2B or B2C)
- Prior experience selling ambient, cooler, or frozen products such as spices, rice, frozen food, snacks, sweets, dairy products, or beverages
- Hindi & English bilingual (Punjabi or Gujarati a plus)
- U.S. driver’s license, clean record, and reliable vehicle
- Comfortable using smartphone/tablet ordering apps
- Willing to travel throughout Indiana and nearby Midwest markets
- Able to lift up to 50–60 lbs when needed
- Driven, Tech-Savy, Team-Player
