Review and sign off on deliverables including protocols, statistical analysis plans, technical reports, and slides; identify necessary deviations from templates to ensure content aligns with objectives.
Contribute to short-term resourcing discussions and long-term strategic planning; develop and maintain team processes (e.g., onboarding, training, templates).
Lead multiple projects, ensure overall quality, develop recommendations based on expected impact, communicate risks and opportunities, and assume final decision-making accountability for outcomes and financial performance.
Provide final sign-off on update slides/minutes and actions for overall study; own relationships with clients and act as subject matter expert; proactively manage client expectations.
Create development plans and act as a mentor for direct reports; support team communication, conflict resolution, morale, and recruitment.
Provide methodological/subject matter input to and sign off on proposals and presentation content; lead meetings related to new business and identify new business opportunities aligned to strategy.
Requirements
Master’s degree in a subject related to health services research (e.g., health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health).
10 to 12 years experience serving biotech, pharmaceutical or healthcare clients, with a focus on health economics and outcomes research.
Track record of relevant publications.
Sufficient understanding of methods to oversee systematic literature reviews and indirect treatment comparisons (e.g., NMA, MAIC, STC).
Ability to clearly explain rationale, methods/results, and strategy for complex studies to project teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
Robust understanding of strengths and limitations of alternative approaches and ability to propose tailored applications/solutions.
Willingness and desire to learn and share knowledge.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Proficiency in R and BUGS/JAGS/Stan advantageous.
Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a diverse team.
