About the role
- Lead and develop the team handling all client fund distributions.
- Oversee lien resolution, verification, petition drafting, check processing, and payouts.
- Review complex settlement files and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor KPIs such as accuracy, turnaround time, lien reductions, and audit results.
- Partner with attorneys, finance, and IT to improve workflows, reporting, and automation.
- Conduct audits and resolve escalations to maintain accuracy and compliance.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) and an active law license (any state; SC preferred, can be inactive).
- 3–5+ years of experience in settlements, disbursements, or civil litigation.
- Proven leadership in a high-volume, compliance-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes clearly.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and relentless about accuracy.
