About the role
- Define partner engineering strategy and scale partner engineering motions
- Act as primary technical point of contact for key partners (customers, ISVs, SIs) guiding onboarding, integration, design reviews, troubleshooting, and support
- Lead partners from high-level architecture through code implementation for integrations with Postman
- Create technical content (webinars, docs, blogs), developer tools, sample apps/code, SDKs, and best practices
- Present solutions and best practices at partner meetings, executive reviews, conferences, workshops, and events
- Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, analytics, partnerships, GTM, customer success, and operations to execute partner plans and product launches
- Foster a partner community and implement feedback mechanisms to improve partner satisfaction and scale success
- Run beta programs for new features, aggregate feedback, and inform product roadmap
- Build relationships with key partners and senior executives and evangelize strategy internally and externally
- Define and move key success metrics (satisfaction, adoption, engagement, performance, usage, support efficiency) for customers, partners, and Postman
Requirements
- Passionate Postman user
- 8+ years of relevant work experience as a software engineer, partner engineer, sales engineer, developer experience, or related role (preferably in SaaS, APIs, or cloud platforms)
- Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling apps, partnerships, and partner programs that delivered meaningful business results
- Deep technical experience (API principles, architecture, scaling, support) building on or supporting developer ecosystem platforms such as Microsoft, GitHub, Slack, Atlassian, HubSpot, Monday
- Scaled creation of developer content, including code sample apps, code, best practices, SDKs, tests
- Extremely strong written and spoken business and technical communication
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Fantastic organizational and analytical skills for requirements gathering and roadmap prioritization
- Great listener and passion for working with people; able to explain complex technical issues clearly
- Not afraid to do individual contributor work and hands-on problem solving
- Ideal combination of technical, product, and business expertise; deep understanding of developer tools and workflows
- Comfort with change and ambiguity; ability to ruthlessly prioritize, move fast, and test-and-iterate quickly
- [VERY NICE TO HAVE] Relevant applied experience building, testing, and deploying AI solutions using OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, Stability AI, Meta’s LLaMA, Mistral
