Own the design from ideation to execution while working closely with product, engineering and GTM stakeholders.
Work with product managers to strategically define UX goals and opportunities for cross-product developer workflows, keeping business outcomes such as active usage and revenue in mind.
Research, gather, and consolidate customer insights (both qualitative and quantitative) to inform strategy and priorities.
Produce design deliverables consistent with the Postman experience and brand standards.
Continuous social listening through Twitter, Github and Zendesk to better understand how people use Postman.
Foster a vibrant developer community and implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve user satisfaction.
Clearly and concisely communicate user concerns, motivations and feedback; be the voice of the user within your team.
Advance product strategies and directly contribute to Postman’s success by empowering teams to work more efficiently.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in end-to-end design practices in SaaS companies solving interesting real-world pain points.
Experience working on growth-focused projects with an experimentally driven product team.
Experience working on hypotheses and validating rigorously to build conviction on design approaches.
Analytical and sharp design sense, able to understand how each decision impacts user success and growth.
An eye for well-designed, functional products.
Ability to visually communicate ideas with quick, low fidelity mockups such as pencil sketches.
Track record of conducting discovery and usability research to uncover user insights, validate design concepts, and drive improvements.
Proactively seek feedback and tune fidelity for product stage; identify collaborative opportunities across the broader product and design org.
Ability to create high fidelity mockups and prototypes and validate with quick usability tests.
Excellent communicator comfortable collaborating across teams and locations.
Good understanding of how APIs work and what Postman enables for developers; curiosity to learn developer tools.
Hands on development experience is a strong plus.
Nice to haves: Experience building developer products; Experience specifically as a growth designer.
