About the role
- Oversee accounting operations of all Polarium Group subsidiaries and ensure adherence to group policies
- Ensure local accounting teams maintain compliance with local regulations and deliver high-quality financial data for consolidation and reporting
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and coordinate external audits
- Develop and implement global accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
- Provide strategic financial leadership and reporting to senior management
- Lead, develop and motivate a global accounting team with direct reports in Sweden and resources in subsidiaries
- Drive continuous process improvements, efficiency and automation in financial processes, including ERP optimization
- Oversee statutory reporting and support preparation/submission required by local jurisdictions
- Manage financial aspects of legal entity establishments and support Annual Report and management reporting in accordance with IFRS
Requirements
- Academic degree in economics
- Several years of experience in accounting management within a global context
- Prior experience leading teams
- Proficient in English and Swedish (spoken and written)
- Strong leadership, analytical and goal-oriented mindset
- Ability to create structure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with IFRS and statutory reporting
- Experience coordinating audits and managing month-end/year-end closing processes
- Experience developing and implementing accounting policies, internal controls and process improvements
- Experience driving ERP/system improvements and financial process automation
- Ability to manage financials of subsidiaries and establish legal entities
- Based in or able to work from central Stockholm (Hagastaden)
