About the role
- Remote position
- Integral part of client's accounting operations supporting monthly close, financial reporting, and technical accounting processes
- Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP and company policies
- Perform trend analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts, providing explanations for fluctuations
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls
- Support annual financial statement and statutory audits, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, FinOps, Tax, Legal, IT, HR, Payments, and Facilities
- Assist in implementing new accounting policies and maintaining proper documentation
- Handle ad-hoc accounting requests and projects as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public accounting and/or industry experience
- Strong knowledge of cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, inter company, equity, and financial reporting
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Experience with NetSuite ERP system preferred
