About the role

  • Remote position
  • Integral part of client's accounting operations supporting monthly close, financial reporting, and technical accounting processes
  • Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP and company policies
  • Perform trend analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts, providing explanations for fluctuations
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls
  • Support annual financial statement and statutory audits, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, FinOps, Tax, Legal, IT, HR, Payments, and Facilities
  • Assist in implementing new accounting policies and maintaining proper documentation
  • Handle ad-hoc accounting requests and projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public accounting and/or industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, inter company, equity, and financial reporting
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP system preferred
