About the role
- Operate assigned health centers following Planned Parenthood Medical Standards, PPSE policies, and applicable regulations
- Ensure efficient operations across patient care, customer service, patient experience, and compliance
- Support, train, and supervise staff; manage and enforce organizational and HR policies
- Provide direct patient services as needed (front office, back office, advanced services such as ultrasound and products of conception)
- Manage facility and equipment maintenance and cleanliness
- Forecast, track, and achieve quality, productivity, volume, revenue, and expense goals; create action plans if off track
- Create annual plans and assist with marketing, patient outreach, and implementation of new services
- Facilitate daily huddles and regular staff and clinician meetings
- Manage clinic supplies and inventory, safeguard medication access, reconcile inventory, and use PPSE purchasing platform
- Monitor and manage health center expenses and revenue; assist with budgeting and staffing models
- Maintain and complete Compliance, Risk, and Quality Management Clinical Workplan and required audits/drills
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives in coordination with operations leadership
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive management experience
- 4+ years healthcare experience, preferably in sexual and reproductive healthcare and/or surgical center management
- Experience with insurance and medical coding
- Solid combination of front and back office work
- Experience managing clinicians/providers
- College degree preferred
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including practice management software, MS Office, and internet/email
- English required; Spanish speaking skills preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to other health centers, administrative offices, and conferences
- Ability to provide/support objective information to patients about abortion, adoption, or parenting options
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time while working in a clinical and office environment
