Medical Director

• Oversee medical programs across Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi as the senior clinical leader
• Serve as the clinical voice in executive leadership discussions and report directly to the COO
• Develop and implement medical protocols aligned with PPFA Medical Standards & Guidelines and state/federal regulations
• Provide oversight, training, and proctoring for physicians and advanced practice clinicians (APCs)
• Provide clinical leadership and direct patient care across all PPSE service lines, including telehealth
• Drive quality, compliance, and clinical excellence
• Mentor clinicians and foster a culture of learning and excellence
• Expand access to care by guiding service expansion and strengthening referral networks
• Represent PPSE at conferences, in the media, and with policymakers; build community partnerships
• Travel up to 50% to provide clinical oversight across clinics

Bilingual

• Deliver clinical, educational and administrative services under the direction of the Manager in accordance with PPSE Medical Standards and Guidelines and State and Federal Regulations
• Perform patient intake: greet patients, check-in/registration, income and insurance verification, data entry, chart preparation, and client flow management
• Cashiering and checkout: process payments (cash, check, credit/debit), enter charges, generate receipts, run daily cashier reports, balance cash drawer and prepare bank deposits
• Provide counseling for pregnancy tests and options, HIV pre/post-test counseling, birth control education and first pelvic exam education; obtain informed consent and complete counseling notes
• Prepare exam and procedure rooms, review medical history, assist with patient prep and exam procedures
• Obtain vitals (height, weight, blood pressure) and perform/prepare lab tests (urine pregnancy, leukocytes, nitrites, protein, glucose; hemoglobin; HIV quick tests); document results
• Maintain lab and surgical instrument sterilization, operate autoclave, maintain quality control records, and ensure sterile technique for surgical procedures (depending on location)
• Assist in surgical procedures: drape/prep patients, chaperone physician, support patients during procedures, help on/off procedure table, escort to recovery, prepare surgical tissue for refrigeration/pathology, disinfect rooms and handle contaminated items per protocol
• Perform ultrasound examinations according to protocols, when applicable, and document in the medical record

• Operate assigned health centers following Planned Parenthood Medical Standards, PPSE policies, and applicable regulations
• Ensure efficient operations across patient care, customer service, patient experience, and compliance
• Support, train, and supervise staff; manage and enforce organizational and HR policies
• Provide direct patient services as needed (front office, back office, advanced services such as ultrasound and products of conception)
• Manage facility and equipment maintenance and cleanliness
• Forecast, track, and achieve quality, productivity, volume, revenue, and expense goals; create action plans if off track
• Create annual plans and assist with marketing, patient outreach, and implementation of new services
• Facilitate daily huddles and regular staff and clinician meetings
• Manage clinic supplies and inventory, safeguard medication access, reconcile inventory, and use PPSE purchasing platform
• Monitor and manage health center expenses and revenue; assist with budgeting and staffing models
• Maintain and complete Compliance, Risk, and Quality Management Clinical Workplan and required audits/drills
• Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives in coordination with operations leadership
