About the role

  • Support and drive strategic business development initiatives across the East Midlands offices
  • Coordinate and communicate regularly with Partners, Directors, Senior Management and other senior stakeholders to plan and monitor BD activities
  • Facilitate collaboration across service lines and offices to ensure cohesive BD efforts
  • Manage and maintain BD activity within the CRM system (Workbooks), including performance tracking and data accuracy
  • Represent the firm at networking events, client functions, and industry gatherings across the East Midlands
  • Monitor competitor activity and maintain a strategic database of competitor clients
  • Support identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, including tailored approaches for target clients
  • Contribute to pitch documents and ensure BD best practices are followed
  • Handle website enquiries and direct them to the most appropriate teams to maximise conversion
  • Gather insights from market trends and competitor analysis to inform BD strategy

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a business development, marketing, or client-facing role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (ideally Workbooks) and data analysis
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident in taking initiative
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple offices
  • Knowledge of the East Midlands business landscape (desirable)
  • Willingness and ability to represent the firm at networking events, client functions, and industry gatherings across the East Midlands
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK (we are unable to accept applications from candidates who require a visa to work in the UK)
