About the role
- Join Pipeworks Studios as a Level Designer I and help build the first playable foundations of a multiplayer extraction shooter.
- Collaborate closely with your Level Design Lead and systems, AI, art, and narrative partners to create gameplay-rich POIs and map sections that emphasize risk/reward exploration, readable combat spaces, and dynamic PvEvP encounters.
- Our studio is based in Eugene, OR and this role is available for fully remote, hybrid, or fully in-office work.
Requirements
- Practical experience with UE5 level tools and Blueprint fundamentals; able to implement simple encounter scripting.
- Understanding of extraction shooter loops (risk vs. reward, pathing, third-party pressure, extraction timing) and competitive FPS readability.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and iteration mindset.
- Comfort working across global time zones.
- Familiarity with basic AI placement, nav, and spawn/encounter setup.
- 3+ years of professional level design experience
- Contributions to at least one shipped title
