About the role

  • Join Pipeworks Studios as a Level Designer I and help build the first playable foundations of a multiplayer extraction shooter.
  • Collaborate closely with your Level Design Lead and systems, AI, art, and narrative partners to create gameplay-rich POIs and map sections that emphasize risk/reward exploration, readable combat spaces, and dynamic PvEvP encounters.
  • Our studio is based in Eugene, OR and this role is available for fully remote, hybrid, or fully in-office work.

Requirements

  • Practical experience with UE5 level tools and Blueprint fundamentals; able to implement simple encounter scripting.
  • Understanding of extraction shooter loops (risk vs. reward, pathing, third-party pressure, extraction timing) and competitive FPS readability.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and iteration mindset.
  • Comfort working across global time zones.
  • Familiarity with basic AI placement, nav, and spawn/encounter setup.
  • 3+ years of professional level design experience
  • Contributions to at least one shipped title
