Serve as an integral member of the Thoracic Development Global Product Teams and lead global late-phase thoracic medical strategy
Serve as an expert in the disease area(s) and lead execution of evidence and insight generation, interpretation and dissemination activities
Lead a team of 1-2 Medical Directors or Medical Strategy Directors and lead the Global Medical Director team for Lung Cancer Development
Partner cross-functionally with medical teams, health and value functions, clinical development, legal, compliance and commercial teams to execute activities
Collaborate with development teams, product teams and country medical teams to understand unmet medical needs, HCP and patient perspectives, and regulatory and access dynamics globally
Co-create a global medical plan integrating country/local needs and insights
Represent medical in Global Product Team and relevant subcommittees
Support or lead evidence generation activities including independent research, clinical and research collaborations, and Pfizer non-interventional and interventional studies including post-hoc data generation
Lead internal data interpretation and alignment activities and provide input to evidence dissemination and education strategies including scientific publications and scientific exchange
Domestic and international travel as required
Requirements
MD degree
Experience in Medical Affairs required
A minimum of five years industry experience preferred (≈60 months)
Clinical experience in Oncology preferred
Demonstrate deep data and disease area expertise in Lung Cancer Development
Fluency in written and spoken English required
Very strong communications and relationship building capacity and ability to listen, understand and integrate country and local needs
Managerial experience leading effectively in a matrix
Proven track record of working successfully with cross-functional colleagues in a matrix team setting across countries and internationally
Leadership capabilities including ability to influence, collaborate, develop and coach others, and oversee the work of colleagues
Regulatory and/or clinical development experience a plus
Launch experience a plus
International experience a plus
This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States
