Execute against contract strategies for assigned customer books of business (Sterile Injectables, Surgical, Oncology, Diagnostic products)
Develop contractual proposals and agreements to support Pfizer Business Unit and Product Brand team initiatives related to high value customer agreements
Devise high value and complex customer agreements to maximize product utilization and profitability while ensuring compliance with laws, pricing guidelines, portfolio management and brand strategy
Manage high value and complex executed agreements during their term; develop amendments and communications to the customer
Track contract lifecycle and product offerings, analyze contract performance, present customer performance results to Leadership Team and cross-functional stakeholders
Manage development of standard contract documents presented and negotiated with customers
Leverage knowledge of customers, markets, and Pfizer strategies to understand impact of evolving contract strategies and maintain SOX compliant controls
Anticipate and escalate impact/risk related to Pfizer, business unit and/or other contracts
Act as subject matter expert offering guidance within Contract Management team and cross-functional stakeholders
Lead projects with medium to high risk level, demonstrate initiative and ownership to completion
Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements and partner with Digital and stakeholders on design and implementation
Partner with Digital to lead system enhancements, build documentation requirements, test functionality and report defects
Lead user acceptance testing requirements; review, approve and execute test scripts and escalate areas of risk to Leadership Team
Build and foster relationships with Contract Development/Strategy, Legal, Trade, Sales, Account Management, Product Brand Teams, Compliance, Contract Administration/Operations, Business Technology, Gov’t Pricing, Customer Service, Global Financial Services, Corporate Finance, Customer Analytics and Pfizer Business Units
Independently develop and manage key account relationships and align on common business objectives
Requirements
Bachelors degree (Preferred: MS, MBA; 1+ year if PhD)
Relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, managed care, or contracting: 6+ yrs. if BA, 5+ yrs. if MS, MBA; 1+ year if PhD
Comfortable working under critical deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal, to influence and develop customer relationships and offer guidance
Comfortable with ambiguity; ability to act without having the total picture
Demonstrated effective collaboration within Contracting Management and cross-functional teams to drive processes and operations
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong understand of the Pfizer contracting-related systems such as Flex and Business Objects (BO) or demonstrated the ability to learn new systems
Ability to lead projects with medium to high risk level and manage cross-functional teams
General working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and institutional customers
Ability to maintain SOX compliant departmental controls and good documentation practices
May require non-standard work schedule to meet business needs
This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States
Benefits
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $112,700.00 to $187,800.00.
Eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 15.0% of the base salary
