About the role
- Deliver work to a high standard within agreed timeframes and in alignment with company guidelines.
- Assist in the collection, analysis, management, and presentation of spatial, remote sensing, and numerical data.
- Support processes and procedures related to data management, utilization, and analysis.
- Contribute to the communication and presentation of data for environmental, ecological, or project-related purposes.
- Apply programming and automation (e.g., Python) to streamline workflows and improve data analysis.
- Contribute to the development and application of machine learning models for data analysis and interpretation.
- Present and explain data findings to internal teams and external stakeholders as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and participate in meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
- Perform other duties as directed that align with your skills, knowledge, and training.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Spatial Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Data Science, or a related field with a spatial component.
- Experience (or academic training) in remote sensing, GIS studies, and data analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge of spatial sciences, remote sensing, and data management.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, or modeling.
- Experience with machine learning methods and their application to spatial or numerical data.
- Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think critically and produce clear, structured reports or scientific writing.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
