Deploy and integrate autonomous vehicle software onto existing terminal tractors, ensuring compatibility with vehicle hardware and configuring for real-time operation.
Integrate sensors (LIDAR, cameras, radar) and communication systems (e.g., CAN, Ethernet) with vehicle platforms and perform sensor calibration.
Perform on-site testing and validation of autonomous systems, develop and execute test plans, analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes.
Assist with vehicle recovery operations and perform calibration and maintenance to maintain optimal performance.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on-site, collaborating with operations and engineering teams.
Document deployment processes, test results, and service procedures; participate in team discussions to improve deployment and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in software development or system deployment, ideally in robotics, autonomous systems, or automotive industries.
Hands-on experience with C++, Python, or ROS for deploying software in real-time systems.
Familiarity with sensor integration (LIDAR, cameras, radar) and vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet).
Experience in testing and validation of integrated systems, preferably in automotive or logistics environments.
Proficiency in software deployment tools (e.g., Git, Docker, Linux).
Basic knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and sensor calibration.
Understanding of vehicle system integration and embedded systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across disciplines.
Comfortable with on-site work, including vehicle recovery and maintenance tasks.
Preferred: experience deploying autonomous systems or automation solutions in logistics or automotive industries.
Preferred: familiarity with railroad or terminal operations.
Preferred: prior experience in field operations or on-site technical support.
