About the role

  • Represent the Pella brand, products, and services by building relationships with key influencers within assigned territory(ies) and accounts.
  • Responsible for selling activities to generate sales and reach defined goals within assigned territory(ies) and/or account(s).
  • Serve as communication link between the customer, outside sales, and the company to ensure customers receive full benefit of Pella’s products and services.
  • Ownership of assigned territory(ies) and/or account(s), creating a business plan and exercising independent judgment.
  • Sales solicitation via outbound calls, quoting assistance, quote follow-up, large job assistance/comparison bids, periodic field travel, product training, event marketing, and vendor show activities.
  • Proactively conduct virtual training classes demonstrating selling processes, product features/benefits and systems.
  • Perform research activities and market analysis and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Work closely with multiple departments to ensure proper communication to customers.
  • Accurately read, interpret, and takeoff blueprints to assist customers with new construction builder business growth.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate records of all communications and transactions with customers.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree, Bachelor’s degree, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence and effectively present information to managers, customers, clients or employees.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, margins, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and utilize judgment to solve problems.
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Web CenterPoint/Paradigm, PQM, Microsoft Teams, and SalesForce CRM.
  • Driver’s License.
  • Physical ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform tasks such as standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Willingness to conduct periodic field travel and work in varied noise environments.
