Backend Engineer

• As Software Engineer you will be responsible for creating and supporting backend services that power our products, owning applications from inception through development, test, and release to production.
• You must be flexible and willing to take on whatever responsibilities are needed to regularly ship all of the company’s offerings.
• In this role, you will contribute to our products by developing modular backend code in our frameworks, developing services and improving system scalability; adding new features to APIs; refactoring monolithic code to highly-cohesive, loosely-coupled components; and identifying performance bottlenecks across the entire system.

Full-stack Engineer

• Create new features and bug fixes for the company site and app

Software Engineer – Full Stack

Customer Support

• Directs the Sales and Customer Services departments to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets across traditional retail, wholesale, and SaaS vertical markets.
• Designs and executes comprehensive promotional strategies and sales programs; establishes KPIs for account teams and maintains accountability for key account performance.
• Architects and oversees the strategic management of Top 100 accounts; fosters executive-level relationships to ensure long-term retention, identifies expansion opportunities, and secures high-value renewals.

• Drive revenue growth for Music Brands by owning the end-to-end strategy and oversight of curriculum adoptions, RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs across both MakeMusic and Alfred Music.

• Proven experience partnering with or working as a coach who utilizes the TrainingPeaks or TrainHeroic platforms to train athletes; must possess the ability to leverage this technical proficiency to provide professional-grade consultation and identify high-value growth opportunities for elite partners.

• You are responsible for the successful execution and delivery of functionality to our customers.
• You manage all aspects of the software development lifecycle including collaborating with the Product Manager on shaping requirements, project planning, ensuring product quality, and customer delivery.
• You are particularly responsible for driving continuous improvement across the team, through individual performance management, engineering processes, and mentorship of engineers.
• You will sit directly with the MakeMusic Practice Architects Team and work in close collaboration with Product and Customer teams, reporting to the VP, Engineering for Music Brands.
• Creating the environment for your team to be successful through setting and communicating clear goals, ensuring strategic alignment with product and business goals, and driving a collaborative execution style within and outside the team.
• Hire, train, mentor, and lead software engineers on your team in the pursuit of the team’s business goals and engineering excellence.
• Manage and support your team’s performance through continuous feedback, regular reviews, mentorship, and role evaluation.
• Perform annual reviews and recommend promotions and salary adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate openly with other functional managers, helping to identify and pursue inter-team opportunities, address conflicts, and resolve dependencies.
