About the role
- Develop and implement the strategic vision for engineering operational programs
- Oversee the planning and execution of engineering programs from design to release
- Ensure alignment of engineering programs with business goals
- Manage and mentor program managers and engineering teams
- Monitor program performance and drive continuous improvement
- Communicate program status and strategic initiatives to executive leadership
- Manage program budgets and financials and provide oversight for planning and management of financial, budget, and headcount targets
- Drive the vision and strategy goals for Venmo business operations and act as a liaison between business leadership, staff, and other key partners
- Develop and oversee Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) addressing gaps in business and operations
- Work with Venmo teams under the Venmo CTO and align with PayPal Consumer Engineering on cross-functional organization vision and goals
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to manage large, complex engineering programs
- Strong technical background
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams
- Experience managing program budgets and financials
- Experience mentoring program managers and engineering teams
- Experience communicating program status and strategic initiatives to executive leadership
