About the role
- Define and evolve personalization strategy across PayPal app, checkout, and partner experiences
- Work with data science, design, and marketing to develop data-driven solutions
- Shape customer journeys and create differentiated experiences to advance growth and retention
- Input to product strategy and implement architectural roadmap balancing design, technical implementation, regulatory requirements, time-to-market, customer needs, and profitability
- Monitor metrics, usability studies, research, and market analysis to inform product success
- Manage workstreams including analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis
- Monitor product profitability and budget
- Participate in Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews
- Partner with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers
- Define data requirements and partner with data and engineering teams
- Collaborate with merchant integration teams and third-party data providers
- Create centralized repository of first-party rewards, loyalty campaigns, and messages
- Lead development of aggregation engine consolidating multiple earning opportunities
- Define and deliver interface for personalization and wallet teams to access aggregated rewards
- Establish integration patterns with CRM teams to ensure personalized, full-funnel consumer experiences
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Loyalty Expertise – Proven experience designing or scaling loyalty programs
- Personalization Experience – Background in building personalized product experiences
- Machine Learning & Data Science Fluency – Strong understanding of ML and data science models
- Agility in Ambiguity – Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Partnering with data science, design, marketing, engineering, merchants, CRM teams
- Experience defining data requirements and driving integrations
- Experience managing analytics, customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis
