Engineer

• Support the design, simulation and characterisation of quantum devices to improve processor performance and coherence.
• Prepare and calibrate quantum hardware, cryogenic systems and supporting infrastructure for experiments and testing.
• Conduct experiments and analyse measurement data using Python and other scientific tools to identify performance improvements.

Associate Quantum Engineer

• Help push the performance of OQC’s quantum processors through advanced control theory, pulse optimisation and rigorous processor characterisation.
• Develop and validate techniques that improve gate fidelity and stability.
• Work across Advanced Product Development, Calibration Engineering, Processor Innovation, Compiler and software teams.
• Diagnose complex performance challenges and translate successful techniques into repeatable, production-ready workflows.
• Develop and experimentally validate high-fidelity single- and two-qubit operations.
• Design, optimise and benchmark pulse shapes using quantum control, numerical optimisation and experimental techniques.
• Characterise gate error mechanisms, including coherent error, leakage, crosstalk, drift and control-chain distortion.
• Build robust experimental pipelines, data-analysis workflows and performance benchmarks for quantum processors.
• Define calibration requirements and partner with Calibration Engineering and Calibration Operations.

Quantum Control Engineer

Systems Engineer

• Develop high-performance device drivers in modern C/C++, with Python bindings for higher-level testing and system interfaces.
• Build automated test protocols for quantum hardware drivers and embedded software, covering functional, security, timing, latency and performance requirements.
• Translate quantum-level goals from scientific teams into clear firmware requirements, test cases and CI/CD quality gates.
• Collaborate with FPGA and Compiler teams to refine system architecture and technical specifications for new low-level capabilities.
• Provision and operate hardware-in-the-loop testing environments for new features and existing systems.
• Design, review and document embedded software components, turning early-stage ideas into practical architectural design records.

• Lead the Reward & People Operations strategy, delivering scalable processes, reward frameworks and people systems that support OQC's continued growth.
• Design, implement and oversee employee equity and executive reward programmes, ensuring strong governance, compliance and an outstanding employee experience.
• Drive the implementation, optimisation and ongoing development of our HR Information System (ideally HiBob), using technology and automation to create efficient, data-driven people operations.
• Establish operational people infrastructure for international expansion, including employment, payroll, benefits and compliance across new markets.
• Build robust governance, reporting and operational controls across people data, reward, HR systems and People Operations.

Hardware Engineer

• Design, implement and verify complex FPGA logic using SystemVerilog for high-performance hardware applications.
• Develop scalable RTL, high-speed interfaces and DSP pipelines for ADCs, DACs, memory devices and RF SoC platforms.
• Optimise FPGA designs for deterministic timing, timing closure, multi-clock domain synchronisation and resource utilisation.
• Perform FPGA verification, debugging, laboratory integration and system-level validation against technical requirements.

• Strengthen audit readiness by reviewing historical accounting records, preparing audit working papers, improving documentation and supporting robust financial controls.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and ensure issues are resolved with complete supporting evidence.
• Support finance transformation initiatives, including NetSuite enhancements, system testing, data cleansing, migration and validation activities.
• Build and maintain structured Excel workbooks, reconciliations, trackers and finance documentation to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
• Assist with process improvements by documenting procedures and implementing practical changes across the Finance function.
