About the role
- Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping, reconciliations, and payroll processing
- Maintain compliance with Canadian tax regulations, including GST/HST filings
- Post receipts from AutoEntry into QuickBooks Online
- Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Prepare and reconcile quarterly GST/HST returns
- Manage payroll and related filings
- Maintain strong communication and correspondence with clients
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper with advanced technical knowledge
- Strong background in Canadian bookkeeping, including sales tax and payroll tax filings
- Payroll processing experience
- Proficiency in AutoEntry, QuickBooks Online, and Wave
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience working with small businesses across various industries
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with process improvement in bookkeeping workflows
