Write political content for ONC, including high-quality OpEds and Policy Proposals for ONC’s website
Participate in podcasts, social media postings, events, and other assignments as needed
Ensure ONC's commitment to nonpartisanship, ideological diversity, and civil debate is reflected in all published work
Collaborate with a team of core content writers, mentors, the Core Content Team Lead, and the Managing Editor
Attend weekly Core Content Department meetings (Fridays at 6:30pm EST) and organization-wide meetings (Mondays at 6:30pm EST)
Coordinate and communicate primarily over Zoom and Slack; maintain high level of communication
Propose story ideas and projects and take initiative on assignments
Commit to internship term through December 8, 2025, with opportunities to extend and lead teams
Requirements
Particularly good for those working towards a degree in Political Science, Journalism, English or Literature, Public Policy, Media Studies, International Relations, and/or related fields
Exceptional writing skills are required (English)
Good verbal communication/speaking skills are a plus
Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator, even during conflict
Experience in policy research, political commentary, political science, or a related domain preferred
Enthusiasm for ONC’s mission and values, including a willingness to participate in polite debate with people of diverse and opposing political perspectives
Ability to work remotely and on their own schedule in order to make deadlines
Google Workspace experience preferred
Ability to attend the weekly Organization-Wide (mandatory) meetings (every Monday at 6:30 p.m. EST)
Ability to attend weekly (Friday at 6:30 p.m. EST) Core Content Department (mandatory) meetings
Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.

Must commit to at least the end of the Fall semester (December 8th, 2025)
Must keep camera ON during Zoom meetings unless there is a good reason not to (per CEO)
