About the role
- Research and identify grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and strategic goals
- Prepare clear, concise and persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications
- Develop and maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines, submissions, reporting requirements, and funding cycles
- Collaborate with program managers, finance, and leadership to gather necessary information and budget details for proposals
- Ensure all proposals meet funder requirements and are submitted on time
- Prepare progress reports, impact statements, and renewal requests, and donor communications
- Build and sustain positive relationships with current and potential funders
- Stay informed on trends, policies, and best practices in grant writing and nonprofit funding
- Work primarily conducted over Zoom and Slack
- Work closely with the Nonprofit Fundraising Team Lead
- Attend weekly All-hands meetings
- Attend weekly Business Development Department meetings
- Commit to at least the end of the Fall Semester (December 8th, 2025)
Requirements
- Current or recent student working towards a degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, English and/or related fields.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) are required.
- Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator, even during conflict.
- Ability to work remotely and on their own schedule in order to make deadlines.
- Google Workspace experience required.
- Experience with data-keeping is preferred.
- Satisfactory organization skills.
- Ability to keep information confidential.
- Ability to attend the weekly All-hands meetings.
- Ability to attend weekly Business Development Department meetings.
- Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
