About the role

  • Research and identify grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and strategic goals
  • Prepare clear, concise and persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications
  • Develop and maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines, submissions, reporting requirements, and funding cycles
  • Collaborate with program managers, finance, and leadership to gather necessary information and budget details for proposals
  • Ensure all proposals meet funder requirements and are submitted on time
  • Prepare progress reports, impact statements, and renewal requests, and donor communications
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with current and potential funders
  • Stay informed on trends, policies, and best practices in grant writing and nonprofit funding
  • Work primarily conducted over Zoom and Slack
  • Work closely with the Nonprofit Fundraising Team Lead
  • Attend weekly All-hands meetings
  • Attend weekly Business Development Department meetings
  • Commit to at least the end of the Fall Semester (December 8th, 2025)

Requirements

  • Current or recent student working towards a degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, English and/or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) are required.
  • Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator, even during conflict.
  • Ability to work remotely and on their own schedule in order to make deadlines.
  • Google Workspace experience required.
  • Experience with data-keeping is preferred.
  • Satisfactory organization skills.
  • Ability to keep information confidential.
  • Ability to attend the weekly All-hands meetings.
  • Ability to attend weekly Business Development Department meetings.
  • Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
