About the role
- Manage all RFQ and RFP opportunities within assigned territory from receipt through submission
- Review and interpret complex bid documents, drawings, technical specifications, and contractual requirements
- Ensure all required bid documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with customer requirements
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Pricing, Risk Assessment, and Bids & Proposals teams to develop competitive, technically sound proposals
- Review pricing sheets and validate scope, margins, and commercial terms prior to submission
- Write and/or review customer-facing cover letters and supporting documentation
- Manage multiple concurrent bid opportunities while maintaining strict adherence to deadlines
- Serve as the primary customer interface during the bid phase, including clarification meetings and addendum responses
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with airports, airlines, and general contractors within the territory
- Identify appropriate upsell opportunities related to technology enhancements, system upgrades, and product options
- Represent Oshkosh at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events
- Develop and maintain a strong technical understanding of JetAire and Jetpower product lines, including performance characteristics and configuration options
- Maintain competitive intelligence and understand market positioning within the assigned region
- Support forecasting and sales planning activities
- Collaborate in cross-functional initiatives related to product development and market strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with five (5) or more years of sales experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience reviewing and responding to RFQs and RFPs
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information effectively to customers and internal stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet firm deadlines
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30%
