About the role
- Lead and direct multiple projects under the guidance of PMO leadership
- Aggressively drive projects from inception to completion and identify and document project requirements
- Support clients on various information security initiatives and keep stakeholders apprised of project and budget status
- Manage issues to resolution and be responsible for all aspects of the project life cycle (initiation, plan, execute, control, close)
- Focus on management of project risk, forecasting challenges and devising strategies to overcome and compensate
- Drive engagements forward ensuring projects progress as planned and uninterrupted, maintaining a minimum of 40 hrs billed per week per delivery resource
- Develop strategic project delivery plans, detailed schedules, compensating project controls, cost forecasting, risk management, issues forecast and resolution planning
- Perform resource burn-rate analysis, forecasting, reporting, and daily task management
- Create and maintain schedules including key deliverables, milestones, and dependencies; identify and manage issues and risks
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external planning and project status meetings
- Assure overall project and service offering quality and consistency through methodologies, standards, templates, and approved delivery requirements
- Actively monitor project budget, burn rates, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion
- Report routinely to a Program Manager on cross-capability projects and collaborate with peers to track dependencies and risks
- Consolidate and report project performance metrics and status reports to internal and external stakeholders and the PMO
- Establish communication plans to facilitate core project team coordination and provide status to management and extended project team members
- Implement project management controls to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery, and escalate as necessary
- Maintain working relationships with subject matter experts and personnel across the organization
Requirements
- BA or BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field (Advanced degree desirable)
- 3-6 years of experience in a customer facing project/program delivery leadership role within a professional services organization
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred
- Excellent Project Management skill, specifically demonstrated success managing multiple clients and disparate initiatives on a long term-basis required
- Demonstrated experience with Project Management methodologies, best practices, and toolsets required
- Experience interfacing with both clients and partners required
- Management of information security projects preferred
- Previous experience in a security services environment preferred
- Significant experience as a Consultant providing security expertise to clients preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Results oriented, high energy, self-motivated
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and consultative skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision required
