Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries, management accounts, and tax filings
Reconcile financial positions and transactions with banks, mobile network operators, and technology partners
Ensure proper application of direct and indirect taxes, including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate tax
Manage foreign exchange acquisition and optimize FX exposure to support efficient fund repatriation to headquarters
Coordinate intercompany transactions and accounts with the group finance team
Ensure full compliance with Ghanaian financial regulations, tax laws, and fintech-specific reporting requirements
Lead financial planning and analysis to support business growth and risk mitigation
Participate in group reporting processes, including consolidation, variance analysis, and KPI tracking
Support audit processes, both internal and external, and maintain robust internal controls
Liaise with local banks, regulators, and auditors to ensure smooth financial operations
Collaborate with headquarters finance and treasury teams to align cash flow, reporting, and strategic initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA) is highly desirable
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in financial management, preferably in fintech, banking, or microfinance
Proven experience in fund repatriation, FX management, and intercompany accounting
Strong understanding of Ghanaian tax and financial regulations
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
