About the role
- Support and lead OCHIN’s multi-state level legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts
- Develop and execute advocacy strategies
- Build relationships with policymakers
- Represent OCHIN across multiple states
- Track, analyze, and influence state legislation and regulations
- Draft testimony, comment letters, and policy/data briefs
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-state government relations experience required
- Experience executing multi-state government health care legislative initiatives required
- Demonstrated success influencing state policy outcomes
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience/working knowledge in health information technology highly preferred
- Experience with community health centers and/or rural hospitals highly preferred
- Strong writing and advocacy skills
