About the role

  • Design, develop, and implement the Oceans SCUBA Academy structure and curriculum.
  • Coach and deliver training across various modules; ensure content is practical, up-to-date, and aligned with industry trends and client feedback.
  • Regularly assess training effectiveness and customize programs based on performance data and client feedback.
  • Provide 1:1 performance coaching for Divers with red-flag performance concerns and create individualized recovery plans.
  • Work with benched Divers (Divers in Port) to enhance readiness for client placement and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Define and track OKRs for training and performance interventions; maintain detailed intervention records and generate insights for the Head of Diver Success.
  • Use data to refine coaching and training strategies and identify trends in Diver readiness.
  • Partner with internal teams (Training, Diver Success, Client Success, Integration Success) to coordinate interventions and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Report to the Head of Diver Success (Kavitha Gunesekera) and collaborate with Pod Leaders and Oceans Training Team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in training, coaching, or talent development.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable training programs.
  • Strong understanding of offshore talent sourcing and diverse roles.
  • Experience managing remote training programs and working with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent facilitation skills.
  • Growth mindset and cross-industry flexibility; ability to view industries as a business analyst and coach transferable skills.
  • Planning and prioritization skills; ability to define goals, break down complex tasks, maintain detailed records, generate insights through data, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Business acumen.
  • Collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to deliver individualized performance coaching, including high-stakes interventions (Rescue Dives).
  • Inclusive approach to managing and serving people from diverse backgrounds.
