About the role

  • Achieve annual sales goals through various sales tactics
  • Routinely make sales calls with key account representatives, crop consultants and other key territory stakeholders
  • Prepare an annual strategic plan outlining new growth opportunities
  • Forecast annual sales targets per product in respective territory
  • Work closely with distribution management and sales teams to support, influence, monitor and drive sales
  • Provide marketing and agronomic information to support the proper positioning of Loveland products
  • Serve as a primary technical resource on all Loveland products and cropping systems within designated area
  • Sell Loveland portfolio and technology benefits to sales teams and grower customers
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by solving problems and creating solutions
  • Advise growers and crop advisors on using Loveland products to improve plant health, crop yield, and profitability
  • Coordinate and collaborate with technical resources and key sales stakeholders to build product confidence
  • Develop marketing support strategies, product positioning, presentations, and technical support as needed
  • Interpret analytical data, like soil tests, to support and drive Loveland technology sales and adoption

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in agronomy, chemistry, plant science, agriculture, or other related fields
  • 6+ years of experience required; preferably in all aspects of developing and maintaining sales activities, marketing strategies, and customer services in the crop input industry
  • A strong industry network in the agriculture space
  • Ability to work irregular hours as needed, including, but not limited to early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Extensive motor vehicle travel is necessary
  • Frequent out of state travel is required
  • Travel may require overnight stay(s)
