About the role
- Oversee the complete payroll cycle, including hourly and salary disbursements, bonus and commission payments, and deduction calculations using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure all payroll activities comply with local, state, and federal tax laws, social security contributions, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain detailed and confidential payroll records, including employee data, tax information, and financial statements.
- Prepare and file accurate payroll-related and union related reports for internal management and external parties (tax authorities, union funds and auditors).
- Process monthly union benefit payments and coordinate payroll and union audits and ensure accuracy compliance with CBA standards.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, and other departments on payroll inputs and union fund administration.
- Manage payroll tax reporting and filings in coordination with ADP and external auditors.
- Continuously review and improve payroll processes and controls.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in payroll management or a similar role, including multi-state and union payroll
- Proficient in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, compliance, and best practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, strong organization and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources or a related field required
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus
