About the role
- Lead a portfolio designed to elevate company thought leadership on important next generation technologies
- Oversee the development and execution of an omni-channel, integrated business communications plans to achieve business and communication goals
- Lead, prepare and position subject matter experts for strategic communications opportunities across internal and external channels
- Partner with communications colleagues to develop a holistic and integrated communications strategy to achieve business and communications goals
- Prepare and share metrics on communications efforts and leverage those results to evolve strategies and approaches to achieve business objectives
- Partner with functional colleagues to develop and edit internal and external communications, including announcements, webcasts, videos, speeches, presentations, media engagements and more
- Lead and manage a talented communications team; report to the sector communications lead
- Based in Chandler, AZ or Promontory, UT; may involve travel (25%)
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing and deploying strategic communications campaigns and measuring business impact
- Experience building teams and leading people
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10 years of communications, public relations, marketing or journalism experience OR master’s degree and minimum of 8 years of communications, public relations, marketing or journalism experience
- Experience working in a large, matrixed and/or geographically dispersed organization (preferred)
- Experience developing productive relationships with executives (preferred)
- Experience in technology, aerospace, defense or other science-related business or government fields (preferred)
- Demonstrated judgement in decision making and leadership actions with capabilities to drive change through creative and/or other disruptive methods, ideas & approaches (preferred)
- Understanding of AP Stylebook (preferred)
- Experience with measurement tools and analyzing data (preferred)
