💰 $85,400 - $128,000 per year
About the role
- Coordinate efforts to modernize industrial control systems and hardware
- Work with process experts to create automation specifications and develop implementation resources
- Support manufacturing processes for initiators, igniters and thrust control systems
- Own manufacturing process understanding requirements, process, equipment, tooling & techniques
- Coordinate design & documentation of safe & affordable manufacturing processes with cross-functional teams
- Establish monitoring for Key Process Parameters using Statistical Process Control
- Identify opportunities for process improvement; conduct trials & verifications; implement verified changes
- Investigate Non-Conformance to determine Root cause & Corrective Action for process-related non-conformances
- Define requirements for new/repaired facilities equipment used in production or products
- Assist in developing scope of work and estimates for proposal activity
- Support production personnel on the floor as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM, preferably in Electrical Engineering (Engineer level 2) and 2 years of experience OR Master’s degree in STEM
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM, preferably in Electrical Engineering (Principal Engineer level 3) and 5 years of experience OR Master’s degree in STEM and 3 years of experience
- Experience with designing and programming process automation and industrial controls
- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) hardware and software
- Experience with communications, data networks and data collection
- Electrical assembly experience preferred
- Experience with SCADA (Supervisory controls and data acquisition) preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment

- Strong attention to detail
- Initiative, self-starter, adaptable, and high motivation for excellence
- Ability to acquire a United States Government Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship prerequisite)
- This position falls under a Federal Explosives License; candidates must complete and submit an Employee Possessor Questionnaire to ATF for approval
