About the role
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Maintain existing operations procedures up-to-date to also include lessons learned from real-time performance
- Develop new procedures as required
- Interface with program and customer personnel
- Support program out of the Aurora, CO location; may require travel (~10%)
Requirements
- Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other STEM related degree with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's; 0 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other STEM related degree with 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application and willingness to sit for a polygraph
- Active TS/SCI with poly (preferred)
- CAMEO knowledge
- Experience with Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE) and CAMEO tools (preferred)
- Software systems design experience
- Strong understanding of software development
- Experience with JIRA
- Experience with decomposing Element requirements to Subsystem
- Experience with acceptance criteria creation
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance
- Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time
