About the role

  • Perform secretarial, clinical, receptionist and office related duties supporting various NAH departments including Communications, Education, Engineering, Operating Room, Pre-Op PACU, Radiology Administration, Guardian, Biomedical, Nutrition, Patient Access, Supply Chain and Cath Lab
  • Prepare reports for management and/or clinical teams as requested
  • Provide confidential administrative support to management and/or clinical teams
  • Gather, revise and enter data utilizing department required statistics/units/other
  • Perform data entry, meet and greet customers in person and on telephone using customer service guidelines
  • Perform clerical duties such as ordering, keyboarding, scanning, filing, photocopying and transcribing
  • May process time edits, contact and work with external vendors, and support scheduling and billing
  • Establish and maintain organized financial management system for bills, purchase requisitions, check requests and inventory tracking
  • Operate computer terminals, retrieve information from computerized resources, perform searches and respond to inquiries
  • Maintain department standards/communications boards and manage manual/electronic communication devices as needed
  • Report safety-related incidents, attend safety training, comply with regulations and complete required company training

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED- Required
  • Associate's Degree- Preferred
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card application number- Required upon hire
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card- Required within 90 days of hire
  • Clerical, secretarial, receptionist experience - Preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and problem solving skills - Preferred
  • Customer Service- Preferred
  • Microsoft Windows workstation environments and MS Office products experience (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, etc.)- Preferred
  • Understanding of computers and competence in using basic software programs
  • CALL REQUIRED: Depending on your nursing unit, being “on call” may be required
