About the role
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including but not limited to SaaS agreements, employment agreements, consulting agreements, vendor agreements, DPAs, and partnership agreements
- Project manage compliance efforts for regulations relevant to the business including but not limited to CCPA, TCPA, and GDPR
- Work cross functionally with Go To Market, Finance, HR, Product, Engineering, Operations
- Craft go-to-market strategies: draft contract language for new products/features, help with pricing and packaging, prepare for product launches
- Collaborate with product and engineering to ensure product compliance with laws and data privacy and security best practices
- Develop and implement tools and processes to improve legal function and streamline contracting process
- Provide clear and practical advice to help organization scale efficiently
Requirements
- 5+ years of applicable legal experience, 2+ years with a fast growing SaaS organization, with a heavy focus on commercial contracts and transactions
- Proven success with building scalable legal/contract processes
- A JD from an accredited law school, active and in good standing with any US state Bar
- Ability to come into our office in SF Financial District 2-3x per week
- A proven track record in identifying process improvements as we build at scale
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally with various departments within Nooks
