About the role

  • Managing all phases of litigation, pre-litigation disputes, and responses to third-party or government inquiries; develop and execute case strategy with internal stakeholders and outside counsel
  • Advising on global privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), managing the data privacy compliance program, and developing and maintaining privacy policy and related notices
  • Supporting growth areas such as trade compliance (export controls and sanctions), compliance, and bankruptcy matters
  • Developing and implementing processes to increase Legal team effectiveness; maintaining repository of legal resources, templates, and training materials
  • Remaining up-to-date on relevant legal and regulatory developments to provide robust, forward-looking legal advice
  • Operating with high ownership and autonomous execution; mentoring junior Legal team members and collaborating across the business

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or equivalent international qualification
  • 4-9 years of experience in a similar or relevant role at a top law firm or company
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and adapting to shifting priorities
  • Solution-oriented mindset able to work with teams to ensure they are able to accomplish their objectives while still meeting standards
  • Ability to manage and advise senior leadership
  • Strong preference for relevant litigation and privacy experience
