About the role
- Take ownership of Developer Experience: research new technologies and build products for the decentralized web.
- Write products in Nim for Ethereum and Web3 and build SDKs and tools.
- Craft clear documentation and developer SDKs.
- Lead the effort to create a powerful developer experience around Nimbus as a library and RPC backend.
- Respond to community needs and requests; transform them into specifications and product features.
- Represent Nimbus at developer conferences and online events; be the face of the developer community.
- Support evangelizing Nimbus as the Ethereum consensus client for mobile and embedded systems.
Requirements
- Interest in open data, blockchain and decentralization.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Experience with Rust or C/C++, and curiosity about dynamic languages.
- Background in (embedded) systems programming, p2p technologies.
- Familiarity with modern cryptography.
- Experience with APIs, SDKs and crafting documentation.
- Experience working for an open-source organization (bonus).
- Nim/Rust/C++ related GitHub projects to demonstrate skills (bonus).
- Basic knowledge of lexing, parsing and semantic checking passes applicable to a compiler (bonus).
- Experience with Nim (bonus).
