About the role
- Asymmetric Research is a boutique security venture focused on deep partnerships with L1/L2 blockchains and DeFi protocols to keep them safe.
- Specializes in research, engineering, incident response, and infrastructure services.
- Fully remote organization with deep roots in open-source and security-first experience.
- Role: design, build, and review critical software and supporting infrastructure within Solana and other ecosystems.
- Work closely with protocol teams on internal and external engineering initiatives with emphasis on secure-by-design development.
- Responsibilities include designing security tooling, conducting code reviews, building testing frameworks and CI pipelines, and contributing to validators, bridges, and oracles.
- Identify design flaws and vulnerabilities early and stay current with emerging threats and smart contract best practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience developing Go infrastructure-related components.
- Deep familiarity with web2 infrastructure scaling technologies, including AWS/GCP.
- Experience writing robust unit and integration tests.
- Comfortable reviewing and debugging complex codebases.
- Interest or background in secure systems design and adversarial threat modeling.
- Contributions to open-source projects or prior audit/code review work are a plus.
- Familiarity with other smart contract ecosystems (e.g., Ethereum, CosmWasm, Move) is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Rust/C++/C development is also a plus.
- Prefer candidates who can work in US time zones.
