About the role
- Lead the effort to create a powerful developer experience around Nimbus, both as a library and as an RPC backend.
- Respond to community needs and requests, transforming them into concrete specifications and products or features.
- Represent Nimbus at conferences and online events as the face of the developer community.
- Create powerful documentation and SDKs.
- Support evangelizing Nimbus as the Ethereum consensus client for mobile devices and embedded systems.
- Research new technologies and build products for Ethereum and Web3, writing code in Nim and working with Open Source libraries and P2P networks.
Requirements
- Interest in open data, blockchain and decentralization.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Experience with Rust or C/C++, and curiosity about dynamic languages.
- Background in (embedded) systems programming and p2p technologies.
- Familiarity with modern cryptography.
- Experience with APIs, SDKs and crafting documentation.
- Experience working for an open-source organization (bonus).
- Nim/Rust/C++ related GitHub projects preferred (bonus).
- Basic knowledge of the lexing, parsing and semantic checking passes applicable to a compiler (bonus).
- Experience with Nim (bonus).
