About the role
- Support Newell Brands operational sustainability and resource conservation strategies
- Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing and distribution impacts globally
- Develop and implement operations standards and processes in plants and DCs
- Participate in a global supply chain community of practice to identify resource conservation projects
- Conduct assessments to benchmark Newell’s Global Supply Chain sustainability programs against industry standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in operational sustainability or similar role in the consumer hard goods industry or consulting firm
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
- Experience with evaluation and execution of on-site energy efficiency, compressed air, renewable energy, waste diversion and water conservation projects both in the US and internationally
- Excellent grasp of sustainability concepts as well as emerging trends
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrates expertise in Microsoft Office suite applications
- In-depth knowledge and experience using key performance indicator tracking tools for resource usage
