About the role
- Manage all aspects of daily processes with Operations team.
- Mentor, coach, and encourage Operations staff, including oversight of individual performance and development progress.
- Clearly establish and communicate the Operations Team vision.
- Assist team with the implementation of new processes to decrease costs, increase timeliness, and/or reduce risk.
- Maintain metrics and information used for preparation of various management reports.
- Monitor team to ensure established contractual time frames of daily processes are met.
- Assist team members with questions regarding systems, procedures, processes, and problem resolution.
- Work with other managers to make certain commitments to clients, sponsors, and participants are delivered.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience preferred
- Must be able to set and clearly communicate an attainable vision for the operations team and direct the team toward achieving daily, quarterly, and annual goals.
- Must also be able to coach and mentor team members to grow in individual skills and abilities.
- Must be able to work with a group of managers to effectively oversee the day-to-day operations across the company, resolving cross-team issues and improving cross-team communication and procedures.
- Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Must have advanced knowledge of the procedures and tools used within the operations team.
- Must also have a general understanding of the laws pertaining to record-keeping retirement plans.
