About the role

  • Promote and sell Comcast products and services including video, high-speed Internet, voice and XFINITY Home
  • Focus on individual sales to single family units and sales to multiple dwelling units through relationships with property management
  • Knock every door within assigned territory and generate business through established and approved methods of lead generation
  • Evaluate individual customers' existing and potential product needs and make recommendations
  • Increase customer understanding of Comcast products, pricing models and competitive advantages
  • Evaluate competitive offers and frame responses to show Comcast benefits
  • Create and execute turf management plans, utilize experience-based sales techniques, and operate independently
  • Implement effective sales closing techniques to ensure product installation goals are achieved
  • Meet and exceed sales goals as established by local market and independently organize daily sales activities
  • Demonstrate consistent record of success in residential canvassing and possess expert selling knowledge
  • Use technical tools (billing systems, databases) and maintain strong customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to company Operating Principles

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Relevant Work Experience: 2-5 Years
  • Demonstrated success in residential canvassing sales environment with emphasis on business to consumer sales
  • Advanced knowledge of Comcast products and services (video, high-speed Internet, voice and XFINITY Home)
  • Thorough and recent competitive knowledge of features, benefits, product differences, pricing and campaigns
  • Expert selling knowledge and sales process experience
  • Ability to create and execute turf management plans and operate independently
  • Effective communication, organizational and people skills; strong customer service skills
  • Technical capability: computer knowledge, billing system, databases
  • Ability to walk and/or travel door-to-door for considerable distances in all types of weather conditions
  • Must meet physical requirements of the job
  • Where applicable, obtain and maintain any credentials and/or licenses necessary to sell and/or design alarm systems as required by law
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance
