About the role

  • Support strategic planning, oversee execution, logistics, and optimization of Community Event campaigns (Walk MS, Hike MS, Climb to the Top)
  • Ensure campaigns are executed with excellence, innovation, mission-focus, and alignment to organization standards
  • Serve as a revenue driver for events, owning performance from inception through completion and monitoring financial performance
  • Translate national campaign strategies into actionable local plans tailored to market dynamics
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward mid-level fundraising teams, sponsors, and key volunteer leaders
  • Manage volunteer committees or volunteer activities to ensure exceptional donor and participant experiences
  • Analyze data trends and create donor profiles; leverage CRM to maintain research data, execute mailing/email campaigns, and create reports
  • Support Assistant Vice President and Regional Vice President with campaign progress reports and identification of growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate campaign efforts across departments and comply with data privacy regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or development support within a nonprofit or similar environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in donor database systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with fundraising platforms is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, and internal stakeholders
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices, donor stewardship strategies, and event coordination
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  • Ability and willingness to attend regular in-person meetings, constituent interactions, and events; travel up to approximately 50% of work time
