About the role
- Grow and maintain strong relationships with hospital clients
- Drive new business through prospecting, networking, and market research
- Partner with internal teams to ensure client success—from proposals to onboarding and ongoing support
- Provide customer education on new products, policies, and trends
- Monitor account performance, prepare account reviews, and create territory management plans
- Representing M&D at industry events, staying ahead of trends, and regulatory change
Requirements
- 4+ years of account management or business development experience in healthcare sales, preferably calling on hospital buying departments
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint required)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (20% overnight)
- Relevant experience or education aligned with the responsibilities of this role
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
- Preferred: Prior experience in pharmaceutical distribution sales
- Preferred: Knowledge of health systems industry challenges and trends
- Preferred: CRM system experience
