Develop, implement, and maintain a talent development strategy and framework to align with NICB’s culture, strategic plan, and business needs
Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment to highlight areas for growth and desired capability-building, as well as skill gaps
Utilize results to develop and implement talent management initiatives including onboarding programs, employee training and career development, supervisory/management training, and leadership development
Design and develop (internally or combined with external partners) thoughtful, targeted, and effective training and development programs
Deliver engaging training programs using a variety of platforms to meet diverse learning needs in a largely remote and dispersed workforce
Conduct ongoing evaluations to assess program effectiveness and recommend modifications for future programming
Support training needs of the annual performance management cycles, including enhancing instructional materials and building out development plans
In tandem with recruiting team, design and develop robust organizational onboarding program
Develop and execute succession planning process to ensure a pipeline of future leaders and key roles; collaborate with leadership to identify high-potential talent and create development plans
Develop employee engagement strategies based upon survey or other collected feedback
Advise and coach leaders on talent development best practices
Reports to the Vice President, Human Resources; hybrid role based at NICB Headquarters (Oak Brook, IL)
Requirements
Strong training facilitation and presentation skills
Resourceful and willing to jump in to research/investigate new and/or enhance existing initiatives
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills in order to interface successfully with all levels of employees, and external partners
Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong coaching skills
Effective planning and project management skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field required
7-10 years of experience in Talent Management, Training, Leadership Development, and/or Organizational Development/Effectiveness required
5+ years of hands-on designing, developing, and facilitating training programs required
Advanced degree and/or PHR/SPHR preferred
Leadership Development Certifications (e.g. DDI, Certified Situational Leadership® Trainer) and Assessment Certifications (e.g. MBTI, DiSC, StrengthsFinder) a plus
Experience with ADP Workforce Now, LinkedIn Learning, and Learning Management Systems preferred
Experience with building and maintaining SharePoint sites preferred
Will indirectly supervise a team member
