Associate Director – Corporate Giving

Project Manager

• Working with the U.S. Forest Service partners to help develop scopes of work for forest health, wildfire risk reduction, community resilience, watershed improvement, ecosystem restoration, and recreation enhancement projects.
• Leading the advertisement, negotiation, and awarding of multiple contracts for services related to on-the-ground implementation of fuel reduction, commercial thinning, habitat restoration, critical access improvement, and community resiliency projects.
• Working directly with contractors, consultants, nonprofit organizations, partners, and the U.S. Forest Service to coordinate on-the-ground implementation of fuel reduction, commercial thinning, habitat restoration, critical access improvement, and community resiliency projects effectively and efficiently.
• Working with the U.S. Forest Service to help develop, modify, manage, and track large-scale Stewardship Agreements and Challenge Cost Share Agreements associated with forest restoration projects (e.g., hand thinning, mechanical thinning, commercial thinning, prescribed fire).
• Supporting expansion of the base of private and public-sector supporters and partners by actively pursuing funding opportunities, creating new development opportunities, and writing grants.
• Building and maintaining close and mutually beneficial relationships among the U.S. Forest Service, California NGO partners, and the NFF to implement effective community-based conservation partnerships.
• Strengthening the NFF ability to support on-the-ground restoration and recreation projects by supporting activities that reinforce existing collaborations and help build new partnerships.

• Serve as an engaged leader of the contracts and procurement team, providing mentorship and coaching for the team of 4-5 full-time staff.
• Oversee the implementation of the organization’s procurement policy and support oversight of policy and other compliance requirements throughout the full contracting lifecycle.

• Coordinate with staff seeking to engage in procurement actions and provide advice throughout the procurement process.

• Administer and maintain the organization’s web servers and cloud hosting environments, ensuring up-time, reliability, and scalability.
• Manage DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, and website monitoring tools to ensure secure and uninterrupted web operations.
• Oversee day-to-day management of the Content Management System, including templates, plugins/modules, publishing workflows, and user access.
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams to deliver user-friendly digital experiences, landing pages, and campaigns aligned with branding and organizational goals.
• Implement and monitor security best practices, including patch management, web application firewalls, DDoS protection, and identity/access controls.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), privacy regulations (CCPA), and payment/donation security requirements (PCI DSS).

• Report to the Intermountain Region Program Manager and support private forest landowner and community engagement for fire risk reduction across southwest Idaho.
• Support private lands stewardship programs, place-based project development, and landscape-scale cross-boundary wildfire resilience efforts.
• Engage and support non-industrial private forest landowners in accessing cost share assistance programs, specifically NRCS RCPP and EQIP-related programs.
• Organize, implement, and attend local community events such as site visits, demonstrations, field trips, and town halls to promote program offerings and the All-Lands Partnership.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, nonprofit organizations, agency partners, and private landowners to implement logging, non-commercial thinning, and fuels management projects.
• Maintain, track, and submit records for private landowner stewardship programs and outcome-tracking.
• Support reporting associated with federal, state, local, and philanthropic grants.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends, policy interventions, and innovations in wildfire risk reduction.

• The Annual Giving Director will report to the Chief Advancement Officer, and will oversee the design, execution, and growth of the NFF’s annual giving program (gifts up to $999) and mid-level giving program ($1,000–$24,999).
• This position is responsible for using data-driven strategies to expand donor acquisition, retention, and revenue growth across these critical programs.
• The Director will develop and execute multi-channel campaigns, build a robust mid-level giving pipeline, and work closely with the Advancement team to create seamless pathways for donors to advance into major and planned giving.
• This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser eager to take ownership of a growing program and contribute to the NFF’s national fundraising success.
• Develop and implement an integrated annual giving strategy—including direct mail, email, digital, and other channels—that drives donor acquisition, retention, and upgrading.
